The Schoolboy William Blake lesson that is part of the new Eduqas poetry anthology for 2025 onwards. We explore the key themes and messages of the poem, analysing how the speaker describes nature, the classroom and how the writer employs structural features to convey messages and themes about nature and education.
Students explore and make notes on the use of stanzas, cinquains, rhyme, rhyme schemes and a volta, before going on to create analytical paragraphs (with a scaffold, model, key vocabulary and success criteria provided).
