Edexcel IGCSE English Language Paper 2 Section B Q2/Q3/Q4/creative writing/Section B/narrative writing/imaginative writing lesson that prepares students to write an assessment piece based on the opening of a story about a human meeting an animal (AO4/AO5).
Students write out their own lists of success criteria based on previous learning, and then explore the mark scheme and indicative content to consolidate their understanding of how to improve their drafts that they wrote in previous lessons.
They are then given a detailed checklist to support them in writing out their final assessment pieces.
Students reflect on their learning for reflection sheets at the end of the session.
The unit will then move on to focusing on spelling, punctuation, grammar and other areas of AO5.
