The Merchant of Venice William Shakespeare lesson that explores the next scenes of the play (Act 3 Scene 1 and Act 3 Scene 2), as we analyse character, plot and theme, looking at Shylock’s interactions with his friend Tubal, and how Portia and Bassanio speak to each other before he makes his choice of casket. We look at Bassanio’s choice and how he treats Portia once he is successful, in comparison to the previous suitors (Arragon and Morocco).
