We look at an exam task about a human meeting an animal and use this stimulus to aid students in writing out a paragraph for from their story plan (created in previous lessons), before we peer assess our answers based on using a variety of sentence openers.
We explore an example narrative and how the writer employs sentence types for effect.
This lesson will then lead on to an exploration of using sentences for impact and effect.
